DESCRIPTION:
Red clover is a member of the Family Leguminosae, and is considered to be a legume (or nitrogen-fixing plant). It is widely used in agriculture as a soil-improving crop to enrich nitrogen content in the soil. Red clover is a native of Europe and the temperate regions of Central and Northern Asia and northwest Africa. Nowadays it is grown worldwide. It is one of the world’s oldest agricultural crops, widely cultivated as a fodder crop and as a source of hay for cattle, horses and sheep. It also is a source of nectar for bees in summer. It is an approved human food and a source of traditional medicines in many Countries.
