Sida Cordifolia is considered a very valuable herb in Ayurveda. This herb contains ephedrine alkaloids common to the Chinese plant Ma-Huang, but in lesser quantities. It is considered a weaker cardiovascular and nervous system stimulant than Ma-Huang, and it contains other broncodilating properties which are not found in Ma-Huang
